An article in this week’s New Scientist about artificial intelligence (AI) used a surprising word to describe the relationship between humans and machines: teamwork.
The article tells us how AIs designed to play chess and Go have beaten humans for decades (and can now learn to do so in hours by playing against themselves millions of times). However, evidence also shows that the best results come when machines and people work together. Especially when the human is the collaborative kind.
Furthermore, human players are learning from the innovative – and even intuitive – ways in which the machines do things.

What does this mean for leadership?

We can achieve more when we work together with AIs and we can actually learn from their unique talents.
