Faculty

Michael is the Head of Faculty for the AGA. He comes to the program with over 30 years of retail and research experience in the grocery and liquor industries in Australia and New Zealand. Michael has worked on projects directly with Coles, Woolworths, Metcash, Foodstuffs and over 40 suppliers. He is a sought after corporate facilitator and presenter. You will also find him lecturing for the Master’s Program in Information Technology at UTS.

Mark is Real World’s Head of Category and an expert in Category Management. Mark has been Real World’s Category Consulting lead for three years and prior to this was head of Category at Mondelez and Kraft. Mark has almost 20 years’ experience in Category and Sales in the UK and Australia.

Dominique is Real World’s Insight specialist and is an expert on Category Strategy and Execution. Dominique helps many of Australia’s leading fmcg companies find true value in their research and data and is able to ensure that businesses develop executable plans from the data they have. Dominique has over 10 years experience leading Category teams gained in fmcg and Liquor both in Australia and the UK.

Paul is the Managing Director of Real World and a founder of Advantage Group in Australia. Paul has 10 years consulting, facilitating and training experience and prior to that spent 10 years in the UK and Australia across Sales and Category for Arnott’s & Kellogg. Paul has an MBA from Manchester Business School.

James has 20 years’ experience working across commercial buying and category roles with Woolworths in Australia and Sainsburys and Tesco in the United Kingdom.  James has worked across numerous categories including Packaged Groceries (Head of Trade Woolworths), Confectionary (Category Manager), Frozen Foods (Senior Buying Manager Tesco), and Produce (Sainsbury’s).  With a focus on growth, James utilizes his personable style to unlock opportunities.

Murray is a skilled coach, facilitator and consultant. His experience includes senior management roles in hotels across Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and Australia. He headed up the diploma program at the International College of Hotel Management (now ICMS), and was a senior consultant with the global real estate company Cushman & Wakefield Asia Pacific.

Murray holds a BA from Glasgow’s Strathclyde University, and has completed several leadership development programs (including Harvard Business School’s Key Executive Leadership program).

Murray works to build collaboration, and leadership at every level in an organisation by asking the right questions to help individuals, teams and businesses work out where they want to go, why it is important and how they are going to get there. He then supports them to hold themselves accountable to their plans. Murray is not afraid to challenge thinking to create new insights and growth.

Murray is an accredited executive coach endorsed by the Institute of Executive Coaching, Sydney and the International Coaching Federation. He is accredited in the use of the Everything DiSC, HBDI, LSI tools and the Strategy Connect process.
