Teams: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result

The author of this oft repeated quote might be in doubt but the reason it endures is because it resonates. (The quote is often attributed to Albert Einstein, but that might not be the case).

One of the perennial difficulties in life is that the things that look simple on paper rarely are in practice. Which is precisely why we end up repeating the same mistakes time and time again.

We might all nod our heads in agreement that at the heart of an effective team are strong connections, great communication, clarity on purpose all led by a great leader. Yet we also all know that it’s a lot harder to turn that into reality.

We believe that the answer is to put leadership in the hands of the many, not the few. We call it ‘democratising leadership’ and it’s why we spend our working life helping companies to build a common language of leadership in organisations.

We believe in the power of leadership to make things happen.
