Here at LIW, we are going through a transformation, shifting to a new business model and accelerating onto the next curve.

We work with clients going through similar transitions and we see that while these are exciting times, they hold risks too.

A colleague observed in a retro this week: ‘When things speed up and we have more on, that’s when we tend to lose our sense of curiosity and our ability to question and understand others’ views.’

So, just when we need it most, our desire and ability to understand each other deserts us?  Yep.

What does this mean for leadership?

It’s good to push the pace but it’s also easy to narrow your view and focus on yourself and your own tasks. Especially at speed, watch out for others on the road!
