This month McKinsey continues to seek opportunities arising from the pandemic – recognising the new leadership behaviours we need to employ to operate in an unpredictable world, and proposing that organisations re-envision their capability centres to optimise performance building on the learnings from the work from home experiment. HBR asked leaders their origin story and uncovered four types of leaders. Self-reflection is a popular exercise for leaders, but we should reflect on our impact on others rather than in isolation. The collaborative learning model enables teams to define objectives together and provide mutual support – and its more fun than learning alone.
